Alleria The Windrunner Item Build Guide and DotA Strategy

Alleria The Windrunner – DotA Hero Items Build, Skills Build, Guide and Strategy. Alleria’s gameplay style resembles an agility hero in many ways. She relies on her physical attack most of the time, and she has a powerful attack speed increasing ability which lets her fire very quickly. She can launch deadly Power Shots, which strike the first target with massive damage, then lose a little the more units they pass through. Power Shot is very good at picking off injured heroes who are trying to flee, due to its long range, fast projectile, and good initial damage. To stop enemies from fleeing in the first place, Alleria has Shackleshot. Although it doesn’t deal any damage by itself, Shackleshot is one of the best single-target stuns around. This ability allows the Windrunner to shackle a target either to a tree or to another enemy unit, potentially stunning two heroes for a lengthy period of time. Windrunner, Alleria’s third skill, allows her to escape dangerous situations, position herself for good Shackleshots, and catch up to fleeing enemies. If Powershot isn’t enough to take down a target, Alleria can use Focus Fire. This powerful ability makes her attack at the fastest possible rate at a single enemy unit for a long duration, but reduces her total damage. This skill is often used in conjunction with Shackleshot, but it is also effective against buildings and other stationary targets.

Alleria The Windrunner background story, In the valleys of Winterspring, deep within the verdant glades of the Forest of Trees, an elf with the power of the wind makes her home. She joined the Sentinel as a free agent shortly after the War of the Magi. Favored by the Goddess of Wind, Alleria received many blessings. Her arrows fly straight and true, piercing all enemies in a line. She can lace her arrow with wind and bind enemies together by creating ethereal shackles. Her footsteps are hastened by the currents of air. It is known that she can dispatch enemies at blinding speed by releasing a flurry of arrows. She is indeed a worthy enemy of the Scourge.

This is the carry stress build. It’s geared to make you hard to kill while you farm it up. The first level in Windrunner makes certain you can escape a first blood attempt, and maxing out Powershot maximizes your farming and lane control. You shouldn’t be involved in too many team fights early on, so one level of Shackleshot is all you need.

Alleria The Windrunner Items Build

Two Mantles of Intelligence, a Circlet of Nobility and a set of Ancient Tangoes of Essifation will be bought as your starting items because they give you good damage for last hitting purposes + some health and mana to harass/withstand harass. The Ancient Tangoes of Essifation will of course be used to neglect harassers too, so you can stay in your lane longer.

Later you will upgrade your two Mantles to Null Talismans so you have more health and mana for ganking + some extra damage to last hit and “general attacking” as well. Boots of Speed are mandatory as always.
Guinsoo’s Scythe of Vyse will then be bought so you can (almost) perfectly set up ganks yourself without having to rely too much on other disablers. Once you have your Guinsoo’s Scythe of Vyse, positioning Shackleshot will be ten times easier hence this is why this item is your corner stone.

Once you have your sheepstick, you should buy Orchid Malevolence because it gives you excellent damage and attack speed, which is just what you need to fight with and without Focus Fire. Buying pure damage is not a completely good choice because you will shoot too slow when you don’t use Focus Fire which of course you won’t be able to all the time, hence you need attack speed too. Finally the buffer effect it gives neglects Focus Fire’s reduced damage very well. This is also why you should buy a pair of Power Treads later when you feel like you can squeeze them in your build. Boots of Travel are good but not completely necessary; Windrunner will give you 518 movement speed when you have Boots of Speed alone, so you don’t need the extra movement speed from Boots of Travel + you can get around more easily when you blaze fast. The attack speed on the Power Treads is really what we’re looking for so you can deal greater damage “outside” Focus Fire.

Finally Stygian Desolator gives you excellent damage for your ultimate as it penalties a part of your target’s armor, giving you more direct, raw damage.

Alleria The Windrunner Strategy

Early game
You are playing a character that is extremely weak in early game (can be compared to heros like Faceless Void, or Phantom Assassin), so play defensively and focus on farming, not killing. You are a lategame killer, so be sure to reach it equipped. Jungling is an option using creep pulling strategies (you are not able to jungle on your own) since you can use Power Shot to clear trees (be aware that hit creeps will not run to you like using Beastmaster’s axes). You can escape ganks easily by Windrunner, but always assure that you have an escape path.

Mid Game
Your time has not come yet. Assist your team in ganks with Focus Fire and use Power Shot to clear your team’s view if the enemy tries to hide in the forest. With Windrunner and Lothar’s Edge you can scout for your team. Be aware of Sentry Wards and most of all, do not forget to farm your equipment.

Late Game
If the game reaches late game, you are finally a real threat for your opposing team. You can assist pushes by clearing creep waves with Power Shot (aiming at the ranged creeps usually makes you hit the most targets), use Focus Fire to deal massive damage in team battles and use Windrunner to chase fleeing enemies on low health. Since Windrunner’s cooldown is rather low, you can turn it on if focused in team battles, too, not taking physical damage for six seconds (this is a free Omniknight’s ultimate!). Do not get too cocky though; if you draw too much attention stunners and nukers will tear you down pretty easily.
