Lina Inverse The Slayer Item Build Guide and DotA Strategy
Lina Inverse The Slayer – DotA Hero Items Build, Skills Build, Guide and Strategy. The Slayer is one of the deadlier offensive spellcasters, capable of killing fragile heroes with one combo of her spells. Her two main offensive spells provide a powerful area of effect combo. Dragon Slave fires a quick fiery projectile which deals good damage and has pretty high range. Light Strike Array is Lina’s stun spell. Due to her relatively slow cast time it can be difficult to hit moving enemies with this spell, however. Many Lina players cast Light Strike Array right after an ally uses another stun, making the spell much easier to hit and prolonging the total disable time. To support her offensive gameplay style, Lina has a passive skill called Fiery Soul. Every time she casts any of her other spells, Lina gains a temporary movement and attack speed bost, allowing her to chase down and kill fleeing enemies. Lina also has the most damaging single-target spell in the game: Laguna Blade. This devastating blast of energy is one of the best ways to finish off injured enemies. Often heroes who thought they were safe are blasted into oblivion by a single Laguna Blade. Want to know more about Lina Inverse The Slayer Item Build Guide and DotA Strategy? Let’s check post below!
A renowned pyromancer roaming the lands, Lina Inverse originally joined the Sentinel for monetary purposes. However, weeks turned into months, and fighting alongside the many holy warriors with fearless souls inspired her with the responsibility of protecting the sanctity of the World Tree. With her devastating abilities to summon vaporizing flames, she wreaks havoc among the enemy ranks. In dire situations, she would imbue herself with an ultimate fervor, or even call forth a massive beam of lightning which is said to instantly slay any single foe. A most feared enemy of the Scourge, a most unswerving defender of the Sentinel.

This build maximises on physical damage more than magical damage. You might be wondering, “But Dreamish, what about her nuking power?!” and all I have to say to you is “SHUT UP AND BUY MORE CRITS”.
On a serious note, in a pub this build is hilarious and can even be used in middle skilled games. The standard build is almost always better in orgainised games, however. Use this build for fun.

Item Explanations
The early game itembuilid gives a nice amount of mana for a couple of stuns + slaves before your bottle. Later on Nulls are made, or bracers if the enemy are packing heroes like NightStalker and Pudge.
After this a bottle is purchased, although it was nerfed in the last patch, the usefullness is not diminished if you are rune camping, and this is what I do with my Lina.
The blink nerf makes the dagger a lot less useful to Lina, as such, a fast set of Travels are the best aid to your ganking, meaning you can be all over the map and are faster than most other heroes.
A pointbooster and a voidstone provide you with some necessary mana regeneration and augments your manapool and hitpoints, both items lead on to your lategame build.
Guinsoo uses Ultimate orb and Mystic staff, and as such gives you a massive manapool, aswell as some necessary hp. Obviously the 3 second hex is the main point of the item, and this allows you to initiate more easily, disable key DPS heroes, instantly cancel channelling spells, and stop teleports.
General Concept
The idea of these items is to augment Lina’s power as a ganking hero. Bottle-camping runes is somethign we’re probably all familiar with, but it allows for very powerful ganks and almost permanent lane staying. She needs little if anything to perform her job well but the added mobility of Travels allows her to zip around the map and land her stun more easily, also allowing her to escape more effectively.
Guinsoo provides your team with hex and gives your hero more mana (which you really, really need).
Items after these can vary immensely, from physical damage builds (desolator + buriza), to a build more focused on taking heroes out fast (refresher). However, two things remain relatively constant:
You will need a platemail at this stage of the game.
Aganhims is going to make you pretty Nasty
As with all item builds this is very situational, if you’re not going to get your guinsoos then turn that voidstone into a euls. If the 2200 gold isn’t coming fast enough; build some cheaper items instead. If your team has mass-caster and you can push early, go for an arcane ring. However, this build is good enough to be staple, and should do you well most of the time
Lina Inverse The Slayer Strategy
Early Game (Levels 1 – 11)
Firstly you need to now if you’re solo or support. If you’re solo go mid, if support, head to wherever your carry is headed. The game branches different depending on what role you play.
If you’re soloing, play on your strengths, you have a very spammable nuke and long range, so abuse that. Against a Storm Spirit in mid? Make sure that every time he goes for a creep he gets damaged, whether it be by Dragon Slave or just autoattacks. If it’s something like a Lion, you can trade hits with him quite well, and you have stronger nuking potential, just be sure to be the first to nuke or he may screw you over. Against a melee make sure you make their life hell, there is almost nothing they can do to you.
Also remember your nukes are AoE, so try and grab a creep or two with Dragon Slave AND hit the enemy hero. Efficiency ftw!
On the other hand, if you’re supporting, you want to do most of the same things. Trade hits if you can, just keep the enemy off of your carry. You are fantastic early game and can trade hits with the best of ‘em. Not to mention if you have say, a Panda as you carry, you can very easily set up a kill. Lina is an aggressive hero, so you should play her as such.
Mid Game (Levels 11 – 16)
If you’ve done well early, you should just about have your positioning item and your core done. This part of the game is extremely fun for Lina, as you get to run around to map smacking people around with heavy nukes. You set up ganks, you nuke down carries, and you make sure you try and get as much dominance now as you can, because lategame is going to be hard if you don’t start to gain momentum now.
Late Game (You’re not out of this yet)
This is the great thing about Lina. She still has some serious damage magically but she also does some nice damage physically. You can semi-carry late in the same vain as heroes like Windrunner, PotM and such. Don’t try and fight hard carries because you’ll lose your face in the process but be sure to make sure the enemy knows you’re still something they have to deal with.
When it comes to teamfights, nuke down their main teamfighters. See an AA? Nuke him down. See a Lich? Cave his face in with a Laguna Blade. See a Bounty Hunter? Fry the sneaky bastard. Always pick an important target to take down, make sure it counts!
