Thrall The Disruptor Item Build Guide and DotA Strategy
Thrall The Disruptor – DotA Hero Items Build, Skills Build, Guide and Strategy. Being raised by humans as a gladiator, Thrall learned more about strategy and tactics as a youth than even experienced orcish warchiefs learned in their lives. After escaping from the human slavery and meeting Grom Hellscream, he found out that he was a descendant of the Frostwolf clan. He traveled to his ancestor’s village, where he became familiar with the spiritual magics of the orcish shamans. Now he combines not only his control over thunder, but also his tactical abilities to turn fights in his favor using impenetrable walls of magic, areas of static energy and even control over time. Thunder Strike is maxed out first because it is your primary nuke and harassing tool.
Kinetic Field is maxed out during mid game because you need to use it often, especially in teamfights.
Glimpse is maxed out after Thunder Strike and Kinetic Field because you don’t need it early game as much as you need your other skills.
Static Storm is always maxed out when you get the chance. Such a powerful ultimate should always be picked and used.
This is the most common skill build for Thrall. It’s usually picked by players who want to play very offensively and especially by players who wish to go solo in lane. This skill build is very effective and I recommend it for harassers, gankers and offensive fighters.

Thrall The Disruptor Strategy
Choosing your lane
When it comes to choosing your lane, you should ask yourself what role do you want to play. Thrall is a hero who can go solo, dual and triple lane although there will be differences in your gamestyle depending on the lane you chose.
If you go solo, unleashing your ganking potential early on will be crucial. You should last-hit/deny and harass your opponent as much as you can untill you reach level 6-7 when you’re ready to roam and gank. Thrall’s lane control is nowhere near perfect but his ability to kill makes him a pretty viable solo laner.
If you go with a partner, you should lane with strong AoE disabler. This way you can synergize your Kinetic Field and Static Storm with his AoE disable/stun/slow. In other words; laning with a hero who can make good use of your Kinetic Field will be a great choice.
If you go with two partners in lane (triple-laning), you have to earn as much experience and gold as you can. Triple laning is very easy to mess up because if you’re going with another powerful stunner and a dangerous caster or a hardcore carry, you will really own the opposing lane. This might be a problem because Thrall needs experience and levels for his skills to be useful and he also needs gold to buy the proper items, so triple laning with Thrall is really not a good idea.
Early Game
If you decided to golo solo, you should keep three things in your mind. Firstly, creep management and equilibrium. This is important in all lanes of course but especially in solo lane where your job is to outmatch the opponent and make yourself ready for ganks and teamfights. This brings us to the second thing which is harassing. If you harass your enemy and even manage to kill him that means you’re winning the “solo lane battle”. As I have already mentioned, Thunder Strike is one of the most powerful non-pure damage nuke in the game and it’s very effective early on. Third thing is planning; knowing what you’re going to do when you reach level 6-7 is very important. Some players prefer staying in lane and farm more, some prefer to go search for kills and teamfights to get them.
If you decided to go with an ally in lane, you should also keep these three things in mind; creep management, harassment and planning. However, you should be aware that you won’t be as strong as you would be if you went solo. Going with an ally in lane means you’re playing a more supportive role but nonetheless offensive. Going solo means you should start ganking once you reach a high level.
If you decided to go triple laning, earn as much experience and gold as you can. This is the crucial part of triple laning because you’re sharing your benefits with not one, but two allies! I don’t think there are heroes who can suck with Thrall in triple lane so try to get a lot of kills. When the time for gangs and teamfights occur, I recommend spending a few more minutes farming to catch up the lost experience and to level up your spells a little bit.
Mid Game
Mid game is a part where all interesting things happen; teamfights, ganks, kills etc. Be the team’s captain like I already said and go win battles with your allies. Only by winning battles you can win the war. Trap your foes in Kinetic Field and silence them with Static Storm. Annoy them with Thunder Strike whenever you get the chance. Synergize with your allies and create outstanding combos. Even if your enemy survives, use Glimpse to bring him back.
When there are no teamfights, you should push. Thrall is a fantastic pusher. His lane control skills are not perfect but his high base damage fixes that. If you spot a hostile hero trying to block your way from pushing towards his tower/base, kill him – just don’t get carried away with pushing and don’t go too far in the enemy’s territory because you might get ganked. Try winning the game in this phase of the game.
Late Game
Thrall is definitely not a late gamer although your skills can still be very effective. If you play Thrall, you should have one goal; ending the game before late phase of the game. Fragileness reaches the highest level because there are always some strong late-game carries in the enemy team and most of them can counter you easily.
Stick with the team. When they push, push with them. When they fight, fight with them. When they go Rosh, go Rosh with them. Follow your team and try not to isolate yourself because you can’t afford dying. Use your skills a lot and try to win the game.
